Kristen talks "Lie Down in Darkness" with WWD at PFW

As the face of the new Balenciaga Florabotanica fragrance, Kristen had front row seats today for the Paris Fashion Weeks Balenciaga spring/summer '13 collection runway show this morning.

Kristen turned up to the event looking as great as ever dressed head to toe in Balenciaga, sporting a Lemon Biker Jacket (same style as the black jacket she wore at the Balenciaga runway show back in March), floral trousers, a black cami and the Balenciaga "Poulaine" boots

Women's Wear Daily caught up with Kristen, asking about any upcoming film projects Kristen had planned. Kristen replied saying that she is still hunting for her next film project but if it was up to her Lie Down in Darkness would be the next project of her choice. Kristen said "It's hard to get a movie like that made nowadays."

So let's not count Kristen out just yet! We have known for a while that Kristen has wanted this project so much! Hopefully the movie will get financed soon so she can play the role which she desires.

One thing I must add is that it is great to see Kristens smiley face out and about once again

In the excitement of Kristen landing her dream role in playing Peyton Loftis in the upcoming movie Lie Down in Darkness, we thought we would give the fans an opportunity to understand the role Kristen will be playing a bit more by giving away a copy of the novel written by William Styron.

Crazy Heart is an American drama film from 2009, again a book to movie adaptation brought to life by director Scott Cooper. The film focuses on a "down and out" country singer who attempts to turn his life around. This film featured some big Hollywood names such as Collin Farrell (Minority Report, Phone Booth) and Robert Duvall (The Godfather, The Road). 
 Scott has also recently wrapped another upcoming movie, Out of the Furnace which is due to be released in Fall 2013. This is an American thriller which tells the story of two brothers living in the economically depressed rust belt. The elder brother lands in prison whilst the younger brother becomes involved with a North Eastern crime syndicate. This film also features some big Hollywood names such as Christian Bale (Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Dark Knight Rises) and Willem Dafoe (Spiderman, John Carter).
With all these big names working with Scott, I'm sure we can expect great things to come for Lie Down in Darkness.

New Film Project for Kristen Stewart

Amongst all the drama of late, Kristen Stewart has landed a new, lead role in the upcoming movie "Lie Down in Darkness", based upon the novel of the same name originally written by William Styron in 1951.The book to movie adaptation will be brought to life by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart). 


Both the Twilight star and The Hunger Games lead girl, Jennifer Lawrence, were both gunning for the same lead role to play Peyton Loftis in the movie.


Kristen Stewart said in the June issue of ELLE magazine " I want to play Peyton more than anything I can possibly taste or touch in my life. I want to play her so bad." Kristen went on to say "There's a script adaptation I've read, and it's good." 


The original book in which the film is based upon is about a dysfunctional Virginian family, with the central focus of the funeral of Peyton Loftis who commits suicide. The story about Peyton in the book is told by the flashbacks of the other characters. 


Well done Kristen Stewart, the role is well deserved!
